![]() ![]() Could it be firmware, hardware, or software? I've seen similar posts but usually the person's RAM sticks don't match or they didn't put them in the correct slots. I've tried all 3 options before installing the other 16Gb, also to no avail. I still have the same issues but with a new kit.īios has the option to Link/unlink or Auto the DRAM Timing. Find active processes with Windows task manager (CTRL+SHIFT+ESC).' Close EVERY SINGLE unneccesary program when running the benchmark (browsers, discord, skype, teamspeak, webcam, geforce experience, steam, corsair, razer, ect) They all consume. I had a similar problem recently, but I chalked it up to not having matching RAM at the time. High background CPU reduces benchmark accuracy. That's why it's good to pair each CPU model with the appropriate board model. The X570-A Pro uses cheap discrete MOSFETs for its VRM, and not enough of them for such a CPU. The VRM gets up to 125C with just 165W CPU power draw, those are extremely high temperatures which lead to VRM throttling. I still can't get the computer to POST with 4 sticks. It is simply not meant for that beast of a 5950X. Since I updated Bios last night and the biggest change is that Win10 is reading all 16gb now. The manual states that 2+4 are the dual channel slots, which I find more bizarre as it doesn't seem to matter which 2 slots they are in. It will only acknowledge 16GB when 2 sticks are in DIMM slots 1+2 or 2+4 or 1+3Īnd when I put all 4 sticks in, I get no beeps and a blank monitor. RAM: New 32Gb G Skill Ripjaw 1866 kit (4x8gb)Īll RAM tests perfectly, and all 4 slots work. MSi 970 Gaming Motherboard- supports up to 32gb, 4 DIMM slots so i cleaned my watercooler and now temp is good. since yesterday my CPU has been throttle permanently down to 3.1GHZ even when at 40degrees. Motherboard: MSI E3 KRAIT Gaming v5: Cooling: Tt tower + 120mm Tt fan: Memory: G.Skill 16GB 3600 C18: Video Card(s) Asus GTX 970 Mini: Storage: Kingston A2000 512Gb NVME: Display(s) AOC 24' Freesync 1m.s. Since I can't delete it, I'll just retype it and hope people notice since about 1 week, when i do some gaming,my core temp goes about 90-100 degrees. After running OCCT for a while it has dropped down to 3-3.2GHz at about 80c. There's apparently no "Modify" button to edit or delete my initial post in this forum. ![]()
